Gobi is  one of the most popular destination in Mongolia where tourists enjoy the most. The Gobi Desert is located in southern Mongolia and attracts a lot of tourists due to its spectacular natural structure and historic discovery relating to Dinosaur fossils. Tour details

 

 

Day 1: Baga gazriin chuluu

Our tour start driving to Baga Gazariin Chuluu, a region characterized by its granite stone mountains, with the highest peak reaching 1700 meters above sea level. This area holds historical treasures, including the ruins of a monastery and ancient tombs. Challenge your imagination with the unique granite formations of Baga Gazariin Chuluu, explore the remnants of the old monastery, and be captivated by the vast emptiness of the Gobi Desert.

Overnight stay in a tourist camp or homestay. (lunch + Dinner)

Vehicle trip: 250 km, hiking: 1 – 2 h

 


Day 2:Yol Valley

After breakfast, we will drive to Yoliin Am. In this region lies the mountain range Gobi Gurvan Saikhan, meaning "Three Beautiful Mountains in the Gobi." This national park is rich in wildlife and scenic beauty. Among its many attractions, Yoliin Am (Eagle Valley) is accessible by car. We will walk through the valley into the depths of a sheer rock canyon that receives no sunlight, allowing ice to persist until the end of June. The hike through the valley and back to the vehicle takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Indigenous wildlife includes vulture valley, elusive wild sheep, and ibexes.

Day 3: Hongoriin Els sand dunes & camel riding

Our journey will continue to Khongor, home to the largest sand dunes. Upon reaching the dunes, we'll hike along the green river shore, climb the sand dunes, visit a nomad family, and enjoy an hour of camel riding. If you can climb one of the tallest dunes, be sure to spread the sand northwards against the wind to discover why locals call them "Singing Sand." The views from the top are fantastic. We will spend the night at a tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 5 Bayanzag

Our adventure will continue to the Flaming Cliffs, where American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews discovered the remains of dinosaurs, including the first dinosaur eggs ever found. We will enjoy exploring the cliffs in search of dinosaur fossils and visit the Gobi tree grove named "Bayanzag," which means "rich in saxaul trees." These trees only grow in the Central Asian Gobi. 

Overnight stay in a tourist camp or homestay. (B+L+D)

Vehicle trip:150 km off road, hiking: 1 – 2 h, Camel riding: 1 – 2 h

 

 

 

Day 6 Tsagaan suvarga

After breakfast, We will drive to the Tsagaan Suvraga cliffs, also known as the "White Stupa." This area was the bottom of an ocean a few million years ago, and remnants of the marine world are still present today. The cliffs, standing 30 meters high and extending 400 meters long, are made of unique limestone rock that reveals many treasures, such as ammonites and fossilised wood. The valley at the base of the cliff is reminiscent of Death Valley in the United States, with its red soil and layers of different colors. The Gobi is the perfect place to stargaze the milky way. Day 7 Ulaanbaatar

We will drive back to Ulaanbaatar in 5-6 hours. Check in a hotel. City tour and folk Art concert. Farewell dinner in a nice restaurant. (B+L+D)
